I haven't been on these boards in a while, not since HondaPrelude.com.
Does THERMAL really make the stealth for the 97-01 or just the regular. I'm also looking for a low, subtle exhaust

Super dragers too overpriced and they say the performance gains aren't as good as other exhausts on the market

Mugen... if you've got the money. If not, I hear that the apexi WS is pretty quiet.

There is another one that I think is called the RS*R, but I'm not sure (it's all black with a chrome exhaust tip). I'm not sure if RS*R makes one for the 5th Gen Prelude. Someone else might know.

If you do a search you should find all of these exhausts with pictures and if you go to http://listentomyexhaust.com/ you should be able to hear some of them too.

apexi ws, cheap, quiet, stealthy looks, good power gain, and quality, what more would you want.

I've got a thermal R&D "Stealth". Got it from http://www.ptuning.com It is deep sounding quite compared to some of the exhausts that I have heard on a prelude so far. When you step on the gas slightly it will go silent as stock(seriously!). During normal driving it's not loud and at WOT it's not ricey or anything. Felt a slight gain at higher speeds. Looks pretty close to stock but the tips say Thermal on them.

Heres a pic of the exhaust from a side view.. I'll post better pics once I get home!

fyi- the 5th gen lude thermal system is not a stealth, it's a classic. it is not quiet enough for thermal to call it stealth. the 4th gen ludes do however have a stealth and classic system.

I had the Thermal Stealth before I went custom. It is a high quality unit. I've never seen a Thermal on a 5th gen that didn't have the two tips. No matter what they call it, I think Thermal only puts out one exhaust system for the 5th gen. It has a nice deep bass tone to it. It drones a bit on the highway though. I have no dynos to show what it did for the power.

I had the Tanabe DTM before and it was friggen loud. In fact it was so loud, I dynatted the entire trunk. It helped a bit but not enough. That was the main reason I bought the Thermal.

Now I have the Apexi N1 with 3" piping.

It doesn't make good power.

i have heard otherwise from lude owners on po.com. besides it may make 1-2hp less at 7,000 rpm than say an evo but, it will have a stronger midrange and be quiet. My car is a daily driver, i need midrange power and quiet. i'll give up 1-2 peak hp for that.
