Default D16Z6 Harness Question

I installed a d16z6 a few months back with the help of H-T ... thanks once again but i have been using my stock CX harness and stock ECU. I manage to get a hold of a manual p28 and finally a harness this weekend. Found harness at a junkyard for 50 buck. the problem is it was off of an automatic so the are extra connectors on the harnes but the needed o2sensor is there and vtec solenoid is there. my question is can i use the automatic harness. i have a 92 civic so i was hoping i could just install this harness and change to the p28 and it's instant vtec. let me know if i can do that or if i will need more wiring near the ecu to get it all working... well i will stop rambling now but i just luv the honda stuff ... LOL.

PS- I did the swap all by myself in one day ....

AT Z6 harness won't have a reverse light connector, so you'll have to add that.

You'll also need to add the vtec wires on the chassis harness as well.

Look here for what wires you'll need to check and/or add.

If you don't want to mess with the wiring then look into
a add-on vtec harness that HASPORT make.

You don't have to wire anything if your car is a 92 cx, the wires are already there. I don't know if the automatic harness will work or not, but a manual harness will be plug and play. My question for you is how are you running z6 motor with a cx harness and ecu? Your car must run like crap.

hey tommy well the idle is rough and i get really be hesitation but once it warms up it is smooth as hell. the idle is mainly the problem it runs really high when it's cold and it's only a little bit lower when it's warm.... unfortunately well i'm go ahead and add in the harness and ecu and see what happens....
