Default engine grounding for accords (5th gen)

I recently saw a thread posted in the civic section about how grounding certain points of the engine improves not only starting and acceleration, but also better gains on electronic equipment......

how much truth can you put on the performance aspects of it though? if you can please provide pics of your grounding jobs I would greatly appreciate it. I have a 5th gen accord wagon: aem short ram air, eibachs and tokicos, obx front and rear strut bars, looking for rims and a muffler if anyone has to sell

I do not THINK that an upgraded grounding job will make that large of a difference in most applications...all things that need to be grounded come grounded from the factory...and in reality, you could probably make your groundings, just by using larger wire and different connectors...really on your car, it wont make much of a difference

after much reading about the gounding wires, they will not improve your car in performance side.
electronic equipment, maybe.

there's basically two type of wires kits on the market
1)hyper earth/grounding, the real deal 100bucks
2)made in taiwan, wimpy thin wires for ricers, low quality

If I want to re ground those *****, I'll just go to audio store and have then
make me some, 1 guage wires plastic coated(overkill) with gold tips terminals.
cheap and effective

This is new to me though >> I am a 12 year veteran installer and in all the years I have been installing I have never heard that grounding a head or coil will improve the sound system >> I kinda stumbled across the whole grounding thing the other day when a friend saw the thread in the civic forum > do you know for sure though if it will improve sound system performance? I have a system in the car and I get some static on AM but thats about it > no engine whine etc. as for the engine performance, this month's import tuner has an article about grounding on a supra and according to the charts the car gets a 1.4 horse boost just from the grounding package they installed. I have everything I need to do the ground work at the shop myself wont cost me a dime >> but I really would need more info from you guys to know if it is worth the effort to got through with it.

Please let me know

Mistah dave, thats what I was saying, that the power gain would be minimal, a supra is a significantly higher performance vehicle than an accord, and therefore it will make less difference on an accord, as for the audio, I doubt it would hurt

i have a guy here that looks like grounded each spark plug.. he said a better ground would help get a better spark for each one?

any truth to that?

I have the Nology wires that ground each plug. I think it's all hype. You could probably get 3 HP in that supra just for putting a fresh set of spark plugs in it. If you have bad grounds it will make a difference. If your grounds are fine it won't make any difference. If you replaced a bad ground with a new factory wire, you'd get the same gain.

The ground is the head it sits in.

I think thats the best ground youll get.

I think everyone pretty much agree on that, it's useless unless you have a bad factory grounding.
