I just drilled one hole, using the shifter bushing as a template so that it would line up correctly. Then I used a locking nut on the bolt. It probably isnt lined up dead on but it works. The 2nd gen integra and d series shift linkage bushings are the same by the way.

i did it on an 89 dx. i held the mount plate thing from an integra over the shifter area of the crx, lines up where the bolt holes would be, and just held it there and drilled it. works fine for me. i'm using the hcp adjustable shift linkage and it feels pretty good. good luck. email me if you need more help with the auto/manual swap.

Having no power steering really isn't that bad! When you are sitting at a complete standstill it can be a pain, but nothing major.

Note: I'm not talking about just not having power steering at all. I'm talking about having a p/s rack without the power assist from the p/s pump. Which is a noticable difference. Been there done that, since all DX's with auto trannies come with power steering.

If you let the rack breathe by using a small resevoir to connect the power steering hoses and keep it filled with fluid, you wont have trouble parking.

i really don't like the fact you get little feedback from power steering

Your wrong from what ive seen only 90-91's came with power steering. My 91 dx has it but my friends 88 dx doesnt. And both were converted to manual.

I didn't realize so many people change theirs cars from auto to manual. I thought it was extremely hard to do right, and usually not worth the effort. Guess I was wrong...

What I am going to be doing when I do my swap is taking that section out of the parts car and welding it into my car. There are only a few spot welds holding it on and if you get a spot weld cutter they pop right off. I did it the longer way though since I was scrapping my parts car I went and took the sawzall and went and cut out the whole tunnel there and will be removing the section seperately. I dont know if they would be the same for the CRX and the Civic but I have another parts car (CRX) and I would be willing to cut that piece out for you and send it to you for a small price. Let me know.

Cause then its just like factory, done right, and then I can use the inner boot cover so I dont get road noise or air into my car. And if you think its that much trouble well then you obviously never did major body work like replacing full rear quarters or replacing the door skins now thats work not taking out like 10 spot welds and then tacking it back into place.
