I acquired a JG Redline series head from someone on this board and had to find out myself that the valve seals are leaking (exhaust side, he did not tell me about this). It has gotten to the point that there is oil all over the block over time and leaks from the exhaust ports which can be seen from my ex. gasket.

Anyhow, I've planned to just re-do everything. From valves to retainers, seals,guides, heat studs, etc..

I've done searches on what I should place my decisions for choosing parts and this is what I have came ended up with (incorporating best prices for me as well).

Rev Valves
Ferrea Bronze Guides
Manley Ti Retainers
Manley Springs
Oem Seals
Arp Head studs

Of course new gaskets, etc.

The head is already milled .020 and was thinking of taking off another .010.

In your guys opinion, should I go with these parts? Especially the bronze guides, they are just less expensive.

Any opinions would be great. It just sucks that I had to trade my 00 Itr head for this head and its problems.

 

i probably wouldnt go with these unless you are getting them at a good price.
what cams do you use that require aftermarket springs?

i dont know the specs on manley springs
