Just wondering where I can get a good set of motor mounts for a del sol motor to go into my rex? Also any idea's on how hard the swap is going to be

Thanks

Which Del Sol motor are you talking about? B16A, D16Z6 or D15B7?

It's generally the same motor, man. Does your current one have problems/high mileage, because performance-wise you're not going to gain anything.

What model CRX do you have? If it's an Si, I wouldn't bother doing the swap. If it's a HF or DX, then maybe. I would just save some money up and get what you can afford, perhaps a B-series motor or at least a D16Z6 or a ZC.

Yah I have a dx model with around 172,000 miles on it .... it hasnt been abused by me but the guy that had it b4 me redlined it everywhere he went... So this motor Im getting isnt going to cost a thing just have to drive 3 hrs to take it out and its mine.... so really like 20$ in gas & food and then maybe 2-3 hrs time... no biggie
Just making sure the engine is worth it to switch out mine for it ...

Well if it's free, then why not. Just remember you will have to retain the cable tranny for the swap to work. You might as well freshen the B7 motor up before you drop it in as well. Change all those PITA things like the timing belt, water pump, clutch, etc.

Thanks for your help... as far as hp ratings is my dx motor stronger or no ... But I will probably do what you said go ahead and freshen it up and replaced somethings. My main thing is I would be happy for swapping the motor and getting and new tranny while I was at it ... Basically something just a tad bit stronger than the 92 hp would be fine with me ... Also its just temp. till I get my ZC
