86 crx si sell it or pimp it out
i have a 86 crx si(it is not carburated) its in pretty good shape for the year that it is, little body damage a cracked wind sheild and a rusted muffler, only that its got 200k miles on the engine it runs great
somone told me that i should put a D16 in instead of a B16 because of the massive wieght change to the front end i would suffer handling problems is this true and should i opt for the D16 because its only a 118hp engine as opposed to the B16 which has 160
also how do i put pics on here so i can show you guys what im talking about

im a proud owner of a 88-91 crx...at 1st i did not like the 84-87 crx..but now id love to have one as a daily driver..86-87Si in white would be cool..yeh dude id keep it since its different..its a Si...and would be a sleeper since its so old skool..I personaly would do a b16a since its really hard in that car but a zc or any other d series would work...that would be fast enuf for probably the lightest civic ever made..maybe turbo it with a zc or d16a6..but there may not be much room..im sure with a zc it would be hella fast..KEEP IT..since its rare as well
Is the CRX carburated?
If so, then putting a B16 in is not worth the trouble, what with the carb having no wiring harness -you'd have to swap in an Si harness; not to mention the PITA install of the engine itself. We just dropped a B16 into my 88 DX and that was difficult enough! I can't imagine doing it in a first gen CRX.

Keep it and put a B16 in it. Or better yet put a B20 in it. I'd definitely keep it. You dont see many swapped 3rd gen civics and 1st gen CRX's. There sweet cars. Do the B series swap. Youll love it!

Keep IT KEEP IT KEEP IT!...there fun lil cars..I know ive posted twice on this thread...if ur not interested in the b series go zc or d16a6...real easy swap for thatyear crx and could run high 14's if running properly

Actually, the '85 CRX si was the first to be fuel injected. I used to have one that I autocrossed. At 1700 lbs, it was the closest car to a go kart I ever had.
I say you pimp it out with this wide body kit

They want $600 for DC headers on that website
. It would be cheaper to do a swap! B16A1
