4th gen h22a1 93 - 96 Preludes..
they are the fastest of all the preludes.. and of all the 4 cyl hondas of the 90's for that matter.. (except for the ITR)
H23 is the non vtec
h22 is the vtec

4th and 5th gens are about even..
4th-faster
5th-look better (SH handles better.)
so I don't make anyone mad 3rd gens can be modded as well, but since they are older its more difficult
OEM- original equipment (ala stock)
4G63- is the code for a mitsubishi eclipse motor. You don't really need to know that.
H23, is the non-vtec motor...but it is possible to put a vtec head on this motor, and make a beast.

3rd Gen = Smaller, pointy front with pop up lights, one piece rear lights across the whole back.
4th gen= Bigger, long horizontal lights and triangular tail lights
5th gen= Biggest, long body (kinda boxed off), square headlights, horizontal rectangular tails.
The 4th gen arguably the nicest body style. The "faster " of 4th and 5th gen is the 4th because it is lighter. (v-tec models) have the same motor. Most street races between the two is a toss up, drivers usually decide the race.
Bottom line...Any prelude is a great car, good luck and welcome to the site

actually its not just weight..
the 4th gen has a slight gearing advantage, and the h22a1 dynos higher... the 4th gen was under-rated from the factory..

WOW, they made 4 cyl NSX's, thats news to me!!!!!
just as an added side note- the engine codes for the Si (h23) and VTec (h22) denote the amount of displacement:
H23...2.3 liters
H22...2.2 liters
btw..id take an NSX even if it were running on 4 outta the 6

edit:: like putting in my name for dramatic effect.
