k20 swap in eg6
i found a rsx type-s motor on the net the other day and i cant seem to find any motor mount kits anywere. is the swap even poseable? the motor ran for 5,500 i think with every thing to make it run. is this a good price? thanks for your help.
yup, seems like area 51 was the only place that did it with EK\EG(practically the same points)
HASport did it the newer civics... i think it was on sports compact car.....
i think having to go through smog would be a bitch with the K series engines... it might be better off get a B18C5, hassle free swap and less worries (if you live in cali) on smog

too much work. its a strong, light engine, but until prices of mount kits go down, and the bugs are worked out, i would just build up a B18C5
. for the amount of money it would take to do that you could have a very nice c5.
B series kicks *** now! ( I have one in my EG)
K series are the wave of the future for Honda racing (Just ask Erick of Erick's racing)
The stock head on a K series flows better than the best ported head on a B series! Read the interview with Erick in the new Honda tuning, or visit ERE's website.
You can definatley make your EG into a low 12 second street car on pump gas with a B series. However, you can also do that with a K series, just won't be as easy...yet..or maybe it will???. I'm currently in that debate myself, don't know if I should build a B series 2.0 for my EG or save some more money and run a K.
If you want to go ***** out fast now = build a B, the formula is there and it's easy
If you want to be on the cutting edge and still run really good times (just not as fast ) and go ***** out fast later= go with a K
I mean, you can still put down 200+ HP with a K...all you need is Hondata, CAI, Comptech race header, a decent straight through exhuast. Dr. Charles car didn't have the race header and I don't believe he had Hondata and he put down 195 whp, it was a JDM K20.
SO..if you can get a K20, installation, and all parts in your ride for $6,000 or so (I'm sure you can get it cheaper), I say go for it.
