Default Rear Camber Trick (searched)

for people who will search and find this thread or, for people who will tell me to search and give me this link - http://www.jdmfan.com/technical/suspension/rear_camber/ don't, i;'ve seen it.

i had a question about the necessity of the thread locking compound. do i absolutely need it? and can i use my FACTORY 12mm bolts? I plan on only using 1 washer, 2 max. the other threads i've searched said people have been okay with using factory bolts and 2 washers, but i am questioning the thread locking compound. or - what if i used m10x1.25 40mm bolts w/o thread locking compound? i want a second opinion if that would stay. TIA

i did this trick with using two washers and used the factory bolts without the locking compound. i just torqued them down to specs and have had no issues thus far. the last time i put on my winter tires i rechecked them and they were still tight. hope that helps.

eg and ek are the same: 29 lbs-ft torque, 4 kg-m, or 40 Nm.

would a 10x1.25 40mm or a 10x1.25 45mm work better for a 99 si rear camber ?

I used 2 washers, and factory bolts. I haven't had the alignment checked since, so I'm not sure how close to 0 camber I am.

on my 97cpe, and my 95 hatch, i did this.

i used (2) 1/8th in. washers on each bolt, 1/8th inch, (2) bolts on each side.
So the total was (8) washers, i used the 1/8th in. b/c it was easier than using (4) skinny crappy washers.

On my cpe and my hatch, it had almost NO camber in the rear, like almost too straight, which is fine, but its better to have just alittle bit of neg. camber though.

I used 1 washer on each side on my 89 hatch, and then I aligned it and it was perfect, too bad that there is no trick for the front camber.

The general consensus is to use ONE washer for each inch of drop. But your camber might vary, depending on other suspension mods. I would definitely try it first, then get it professionally aligned afterwards.

And please use locking compound. It's a cheap investment, which can mean the difference between staying alive or flipping over cuz the bolts backed out and your rear suspension fuked up.
