Ok, I asked about 2 weeks ago if the throttle body from a 97 teg will fit my b16a. My answer was, yes it bolts straight on, but you have to lenghten the map sensor wires to reach. I jusy got it in the mail, and there is 2 extra hose outlets on the 1st gen b16a. What do I do? Also the sensor on the bottom (tps?) has its outlets facing the wrong way. This seems like it will be a bitch to install. It looks like I will have to cap lines, buy longer hoses, and lenghten wires. By the time I am done it will look like a hack job. Should I just take a loss, and sell it. Or am I dumb, and its actully easy? Do I have to use the map sensor from the 79 throttle body, or can I just unbolt it? Anyone want to trade for something that will fit? What throttle bodys are a straight swap? I want a newer one than a b16a one, because they have been sitting for a long time, and they get all sticky, and develop flat spots. Any help is appreciated. Ryan
the 96+ tb you have will be missing the evap port and map vacuum port(because
the map sensor is mounted on the tb itself rather than the firewall)
there shouldnt be any sensor on the bottom.
you may have to reroute some coolant lines and get vacuuum for the map sensor
from the fpr, but that shouldnt be a big deal.
if you REALLY want a plug and play TB, you have to get a 90-93 integra or 90-91 b16a TB.

What is the unit that is bolted to the bottom of the throttle body? Some tb's have them, and some dont. I thought some just werent sold with it, and some were, but looking closer, its a different setup. I think. Ryan
I'm unsure what the part is called but I've ran accross the same problem. Guess will go on e-bay unless there is a way to plug off a set of holes. Can this be done either in the intake manifold or t/b?
