Which color would you pick? Need some opinions...
Help me out here boys/girls. I'm considering picking up a 2002 S2k within the few months and I am stuck on these 2 colors. It's either gonna be Berlina Black or Spa Yellow. Both colors look beautiful on an S2k IMO.
I've owned a black car before, so I know what to expect from that. Swirls, hard to keep clean, etc... But what are the pros and cons for a yellow car?
I decided to throw Sebring Silver in there as well. I think it's a decent color, but I'm leaning more towards the black and yellow. Thanks for the help.

Not sure how much you'll appreciate my opinion here, but I think that the Spa Yellow or Sebring Silver would be the top choices.
Don't get me wrong. Berlina Black is GORGEOUS on an S2000 but coming from someone who used to own a Berlina Black (and several other black cars), it's a PITA to keep clean. Also, Berlina hides many of the beautiful lines that the S2000 has.
I traded my Berlina Black over a year ago for the new Sebring Silver. Not only for the color but also for the upgrades the S2000 had for '02 (rear glass window). I really enjoy the Sebring Silver. Looks great on the S2000.
Now, moving onward to the Spa Yellow. You gotta see this color in person. It is absolutely awesome. At dusk, your Spa Yellow will actually "glow."
The color is very nice on the S2000 but keep in mind that Honda plans on the '03 MY to be the last year for Spa Yellow.
Another reason you may opt for another color over Berlina Black is the '02 comes in two interior color choices, ALL black or ALL RED!
I loved my red interior when I owned my '00 Berlina Black, but the new ALL RED interior is way to much for me. On the '03's, Berlina Black is only offered with ALL black interior.
Have you considered Grand Prix White?

I would love to get Grand Prix White over any color, but like you said, the all red interior is just way too much for me as well.
So the only colors I was left with was Berlina Black, Spa Yellow, and Sebring Silver.
Do you think the yellow is too flashy? I'm afraid that I might get some unwanted attention. I bet it turns a lot of heads though.
Your opinion was very helpful. Thank you.

They should also bring the Monte Carlo Blue back for the NSX. It was only available for years 97-99.

It's very stupid of Honda not making the Monte Carlo Blue available in the US. It's much better than the Suzuka blue we get presently.

I don't really like tan interior and I'm looking for a used 2002 model with low miles. Honda is asking for $32k for a 2003 S2k. That's too much.
Nice Cars!!!

Not sure about your area, but up here in the Northeast, dealers are selling new 2003 S2000 for $30.5k or lower.
[b]i hate the new NSX headlights... they look like 3000GT headlights...
How about the rear?

I originally wasn't too fond of the new headlight design either but after seeing it for a while I now appreciate the changes Honda has made. The entire exterior looks much refreshed and modern, looking back at a pre-02 NSX seems outdated. Keep in mind the '02 is my 3rd NSX, I have owned the previous style as well.

My car is silver right now and personally I think it's a boring *** color. You wash and buff and it still looks the same. The only thing I like about silver is that it's very easy to maintain. Silver will always look good dirty or clean, but it will never look great.
Black or Yellow... Hmmm... I stopped by the dealership again yesterday and the yellow S2k looks even more stunning everytime I look at it. Maybe I should be different this time and go for the yellow. Anyways... thanks for all the input people. Keep them votes coming.

Yellow is going to attract a lot of attention. Do you live in a city or will your car be parked in one? If so, I wouldn't go for yellow. People will key the car just for ***** and giggles. It's also a cop-magnet color, so get a laser/radar jammer. Personally, I'd go for yellow if you lived in a Suburban or rural area. The Sheriff in my town has a Spa Yellow S2k.
My car will be garaged everyday and I hardly ever park in a city. I don't even remember the last time I went downtown and parked on the side of the street. I don't speed very often either. I've never had a speeding ticket before in my entire life. That's funny how your Sheriff has a yellow S2k. What a cool Sheriff.
My vote goes for berlina black! I never liked black for a car until i seen a s2000 in black
Yes I've seen yellow in person and its defitnely goregous! But you know those sterotypes asians get when they are caught in a yellow car... If your asian, you might get what i mean
yellow is very nice... black, like someone said, hides the lines of the car.
i liked the red when i first got it, but now i wish i had a yellow one...
i would think that it does attract a lot of attention though.
i'd go yellow.
