cx, dx, vx. hx, lx, ex? si? wtf? what is the diff?
they're both the economy models to make it easiest.
They both come equipped with vtec engine, but rather having cam profiles for better power, they are designed for better mileage and better economically.
the VX was the only hatch to come with an OEM front lip, and was offered in 92-95 and the HX is a coupe which debuted(sp) in 96 and is still offered in the new style civic. Both models are light weight and come with light weight factory Honda Enkei wheels which most people use for performance reasons.
The CX and VX are essentially the same weigh...the CX had steel rims while the VX had a vtec engine...basically cancelling each other out

Can't forget the Si...Si in 92-95 was a hatchback. Same motor as Civic EX in 92-95 (D16Z6) SOHC VTEC. Si hatch has a power sunroof, tachometer, clock, power mirrors, rear wiper, power steering, but NO power door locks or power windows.
