So I tried installing my Ingalls Camber Kit and...
...it doesn't fit right. I got the Ingalls Extreme Front Adjustable Camber Anchor Bolts from iapdirect.com ( http://www.iapdirect.com/item.asp?invid=119 part # 35730 ) for my 88 CRX Si. I removed the stock Anchors from the car and began to replace them with the Ingalls kit. The upper control arms are slightly too small to fit the camber kit in. Did i get the right kit? Anyone else have this problem? See my quick diagram below to see what exactly i mean.

Did i do something wrong here? Do i have to use different upper control arms? Please help.
Thanks

lol yea thats what I did. It did kinda suck, but I didnt know what else to do. Hopefully once you're done with this you wont have the control hitting the inner fender problem or the opposite.. this:
camber kits would hit the control arms so had to cut the control arms.

dremels with sanding disks really dont work well on beefy metal, or at least mine doesnt! ihatemy dremel........just grind that ****
hmm, i guess i'll take the dremel to the ingalls kit or the upper control arm... that sucks. i didn't know anyone had this problem, else i would have gone with another camber kit. does ingalls know of this problem? or are they just using another application for our setup? hmm...not too happy with ingalls now...
any one else solve this problem without hammering/grinding/#*$&#ing ??
thanks--

I installed mine about a month ago, and had to hammer it in. It wasn't that hard. I have the poly bushings so I put some grease on the ends and hammered away. It only took a few minutes on each arm. Seriously, it's not that hard. They are meant to fit snug.
i had to hammer my extreme kit in as well, it wasnt that bad, be sure and get it aligned after your done, you shouldnt have to grind anything, just hammer that bitch like you would the prom queen
I recently installed my ingalls kit as well and yes, you have to knock them into place. I just placed my A bracket, or whatever it's called to a vise clamp and hammered them into place with a rubber mallet. Pretty simple.
That sucks. Is it because those are made to fit so many different cars (ED, EG, DC, DA, Accrod, Prelude...)? I guess I go with Ingalls.
thanks for the help guys... i'll try the hammering method next time. i didn't take the upper control arm off of the car, so i had a bitch of a time trying to shove the kit in with my bare hands...
thanks again...
thanks again...
i didn't use a hammer I found something that worked better, I used a pair of garden shears ( huge pair, about 3 feet long) stuck the blades in between the control arm and spread them apart. I found this to work very fast, I just made sure I tightened the bolts down real good when I was finished.
I had the same problem. I just removed the metal like cylinder thing from inside the bushing and it went in much easier. I haven't had any problems. But now that I think of it I should have locked down some locking pilars onto each side and just pulled as hard as I could to spread them a mere mm or so to get it to fit.
