Only a couple of weeks until my ITR is returned after 5 months off the road. Pics are of the new bottom end (stock crank and rods w/ CTR .25 pistons in the stock block). Just need to get the head back from Tom at Portflow and a little Sgt tuning .

Here's ths shortblock:

Again:

Here's where it will end up:

Those don't look like CTR pistons. They look like some high dome aftermarkets.

Good question. Without going into the long, drawn out details here is a summary: Mobil station changes my oil, double gaskets the filter, it doesn't leak until 40 miles later (at which point it more or less blew, leaving me spewing all of my oil at 50mph). Head is severly damaged, I threaten to sue, their insurance co. writes me a check for $5,000. I write Sgt a check for $5,000, leave him some cams, springs, etc, and tell him to work his magic. Now here we are. To be updated with part list when I have it back. Stay tuned...

They are, trust me. Compression with those on a stock ITR bottom and head is about 12.5:1, so yes, the dome is high. Considerably higher than ITR pistons.

Thanks. Yeah, head is getting P&P'ed, and as for the rest of the setup, I will post that all when it is put together, as I don't want to be too repetitive in my posts ;-). I'll say this: It will B interesting.
