need brake pad help/advice
i need new rotors and pads in the front
i plan to get brembo blanks but im unsure as to what pads i should get
my cars mostly street/daily driven and hopefully a few auto-x sessions next year
i have it narrowed down to
kvr carbon fibre pads
hawk hps
hawk hp+
also can someone please explain to me the difference btwn hps and hp+ and which ones better for me ??
i've heard that the hps is for street yet it takes a while for them to heat up, and at the same time that the hp+ is for track but heat up faster, is this correct ??
if so which would be better for me ??
thanx in advance guys and gals

i have the hawks hps pads on brembo blanks too. the hps works fine for the street...haven't really had a chance to test it on any tracks or anything but they do grip better than my stock. if you like the way your wheels look, the only bad thing about them is that they make a ton of brake dust
i'd say the hawks, or axxis ultimates, but i have been hearing good things about the new cobalt sport pads.

for a mostly street driven, ocassional auto-x car, I'd recommend the Porterfield R4-S compound. It has excellent bite when cold, which is good for street and auto-x use. there is virtually no dust and absolutley no squeaking from them either. http://www.porterfield-brakes.com
hawk hps are more for a street driven car as they will heat up quicker.
hawk hp+ are more for a street driven car with lots of auto-x as they will heat up a bit slower than the hps.

I have the Hawk HP+ and I really like them. A great improvement over the stock pads. Their a bit dusty but the are easy on the rotors and last a long time.
Personally I've tried all the hawk products(from hps to blues)for our cars + the KVR
I would say from my experience stay away from hp+ as they aren't rotor friendy(at least not to mine) ,they leave a SHITLOAD of dust on your wheels and for a street car you don't need that as the hawk brake dust if not cleaned off will screw up the finish on your wheels or paint also they squeal like ****** crazy sometimes.Actually I couldn't find a good place for that pad as it was wicked for stopping on the street but totaly sucked on the track but it has too much trade offs for the street so its up to you.
From the choices you listed go with the hps
but the KVR is a good pad to and for the price($40-50 canadian) you can't really beat it.
