Default help with my stereo system!

i got a 93 DX civic with a pioneer DEH-2400F face 6 1/2in speakers in the front and 6x9in in the back. i recently bought a 12'' rockford suwoofer with a 760watt pioneer amp. the face that i have does not have a subwoofer output,...so i cant controll the bass separately. If i increase or drcrease the bass on the speakers the bass on the sub increase and decrease as well. Besides buying a new face with a subwoofer output on it, what can i do to separate the subwoofer bass and the bass on the speakers separatley?? i got a vibe/lanzar crossover can i do soemthing with that?? thanks alot !!!

Also i got the 6 1/2in pioneer's in the front door panel but between the cup and the mounting surface there is a gap does that make a difference on the sound???

well for one thing stop calling it a FACE...its a head unit...you can run the amp off of the rear output from the headunit...you might be able to use that crossover..but i would reccommend investing in a rockford fosgate or JL Audio amp...they have independent gain control....and built in crossovers...JLA is comming out with new amps this year called "E Class" they are cheaper then the other amps they have..but i went to a JLA traning for work and they look like great amps...so good luck

No it wont make a difference in sound at the level you are at....maybe if you were in a sound quality car or had some high quality speakers with more then deck power going to them it might...but i wouldnt worry about it yet...
