Default Problem with Cliffird Intelliguard7000

I have the aforementioned alarm installed on my car. Sometimes after it rains I'll come back to the car to get in it and it'll beep 3 times telling me that it went off as it's supposed to do. The LED blinks 6 times which tells me the hood sensor was triggered. I'll look for signs of a break in but there's none. This happens every so often and again, only when the car sits in the rain for some period of time.
The car is using a hood pin to trigger the sensor in the front of the hood.
Has anyone else had this problem? I had the hood pin replaced once but now it's doing it again.

try some silicone grease on it. could be shorting out when it gets dripped on.

It works perfectly fine when it doesn't rain.

try some silicone grease on it. could be shorting out when it gets dripped on.
The thing is, I opened the hood and the pin looked dry. The only thing I can think about is that maybe there's condensation in the pin that I can't see? (It's hard to get a GOOD look at the pin when it's screwed into the frame of the car)
