Default Rebuilding my car 1 step at a time - Step 1 : Fixing popping noise in door!

step 1, fix the POPPING noise in my door! does anyone know where to get hinges or whatever would be making that popping noise?

step 2, buying OEM honda parts for cheap (fender, both bumpers, side moldings, all new screws, corner lights, and the fog lights)

step 3, finding an si lip, anyone know where a good spot would be to find one?

step 4, converting blue interior to black - found a car with immaculate interior in the junkyard

step 5, getting new headlights / hid conversion

step 6, turbo setup?!

It could be the little bar thast used to hold the door open with lube it up and see if that helps I dont see the need in replacing it with a new one if you can fix it with a little silicone (or alike) spray.

well part of the popping noise is the thing "popping" into place so it will hold the door open. If anything just take it and sand blast it and make it look like new.

You could go to a machine shop and have the bars in the hinges machined or replaced with slightly thicker bars.

I don't get it, does everyones door do this? no one I know has this problem on their doors (different cars, many hondas)

and that site is pretty expensive, but I guess it's the price you pay for OEM

can't get any luck finding a good looking bumper around here

99% of my friend's crxs do this and some of them had it welded up...I still haven't welded it yet...but god it's annoying.

nah its pretty good priced....its wholesale price, plus a little bit tacked on here and there. Its just the price of quality like you said. Try buying something like that from a dealer. its at least 1.5 times greater than wholesale...my rear wiper cost nine bucks woulda cost fourteen if i didn't have hook ups. so its an expensive world out there. ohh and yes mine pops too.

I *think* it's the part that moves out of the fender/door jamb area when you're approaching wide open on the door...it starts to move out of the door jamb...you just weld the bitch to the jamb with the door like half open so it hasn't moved yet. Don't quote me though, but I'm 82% sure on that.
