Just about any brand name comp set that you find can handle that without a problem. Some of the higher end sets even have an RMS rating of 200+

Check out:
Focal
Rainbow
CDT
ADS
Alpine
Dei (on sale at Sounddomain.com 150ish?)

Edit: Focal offers silk tweeter also (I think), but many people still consider them bright.

Don't sweat the RMS rating. I have the DEI 3065's taking 150 and they are only rated at 100. Also, music is dynamic so your speakers will rarely see max power unless your playing test tones.

I loved it, and you can't beat it for the price. Also, the upgrade bug will ALWAYS bite, so go with the best that you can afford at the time. Try to prolong it or whatever.

Why would you have to mod your door panels? You can't just add a spacer? I've only seen 3 speakers that will fit a Civic without modification.

I'd say there was something wrong with the speaker or something. Overpowering it wouldn't have done that unless the speaker was pushed pass its mechanical limits and something broke.

If you like the sound of the RCs go with it.

Infinitys are a good 1st step. I find the midbass and the highs too aggressive? Maybe peaky is a better word. You don't figure this stuff out until you've listened to many setups, or had several of your own though.

ohhhh ok...I was going to say that I think they are good for the money...the components can be bought off of ebay for like 95-100
thats not bad going from stock...plus you are getting a speaker that can handle a decent amount of power

I have an amp 150x2. What are a good comp set that can handle this much power without breaking the bank?

Probably along the lines of silk, good midrange and midbass.

SoundDomain.com is an authorized dealer.

I've never auditioned the JLs, but all I hear is good. Their tweeters are very highly recommended.
