Just curious of how many things either anyone has done to kill your tranny, or things you know that would kill your tranny.

 

shifting without pressing the clutch would be one

 

pretend you really have a 6th gear.

 

hahaha that one would defenalty do it.

do it on the freeway.

 

hmmm....im really just looking for ways to loose it. I need an excuse for a motor swap and a new tranny would be enough for me...

Well when I was 17 and foolish, I use to try and chirp 2nd gear every chance I get. That sorta fucked my tranny up, not to mention broke some engine mounts and axles.

 

Drain it and drive...

 

Its already on its way....i just have to put it put of its misery. All bearkings seem to be shot and on the way to losing 1st. Maybe something fun?

ouch!! i couldn't do that. heres a novel idea- go ahead and get the swap, and sell what you have for cheap. it'll be extra $$$ in your pocket, and trust me, you'll need it. theres a lot of **** you don't think of.

 

i would highly reccomend against doing that on the freeway.
if by some freak chance the tranny BINDS your wheels lock and you crash.
going into reverse at 40mph or so should do some serious damage.

and if you want to blow up the poor engine too, this works- take off the throttle body and start the car up

I wouldn't wanna be around for something like that. Ouch.

 

Mis-shift into 2nd and grind it at 6K.
Broke the metal seal around my axels. Didnt know till my tranny started whirring (fluid gone).

 

Drain your clutch fluid and drive around.

 

Mix 10 ton epoxy and pour it into your transmission where transmission oil goes.

 

put a little sand in the tranny with the fluid. Or fill the tranny with cooking oil. Try some odd experiment on it. Kill the tranny for scientific purposes!

 

I have the perfect way to **** it up!!!

Do a reverse wheelstand!!!! Just put it in reverse, rev it to 8 grand and dump the clutch! Just make sure you use some slicks so it will actually take off. Oh yeah, BTW, have a friend there to either videotape it or take pictures of it.

 

ask the dude that bought my car....he managed to destroy a perfectly good one in less than 2 months.
