I'm doing a stright N/A build up on a 99 spec B16A. What's the best header for my money. Doing high compression ratio so I want something that flows really good.
Give me your opinions.

DC Sports JDM 4-1 is supposed to be a nice and relatively inexpensive header for high reving NA applications. For a little more money try Hytech or SMS.

Don't wanna spend **** loads of money but I want something that flows good. Guess I should have said that from the start.
don't bother going N/A with a b16 u wont get that much out of it... b16 are good for turbo because they are very strong but the 1.8 and 2.0 blocks will give u a good amount of displacement for N/A power
SMSP
what the??? that's a 3 month waiting list if you want that header and if you have $1,000 burning a hole in your pocket. go with a 'jerry rig' JG Header....it's dyno proven to give +6 hp more than the JDM ITR header...dyno sheets are up in http://www.importreview.com
DC sports always Dynos higher than anyone else for some reason. On one test comparing pretty much everyone, the Mugen header was almost at the bottom. Go figure, but go with the 4-1 one piece header
Damn only if this link still worked. And NO dc wasnt on top.

This a Danish Dyno, of an Civic VTI , it's the EG hatch with the B16A2 engine.. only equipped with Supersprint header and catback.. and a cai.
The Hp (HK) is meassured on the FLYWHEEL not on the weels like you do.. I would say theese are the best numbers I have seen..

holy wow, that vti turned into a high revving beast with a very smooth powerband with just exhaust and header. VERY impressive. As far as headers are concerned, I would be thinking long term. A header with a 2.5" collector is going to flow more and provide more top end, but if your car is still pretty much stock, you're going to loose alot of bottom end, which we all know theb16 is lacking in. I would PM smsp on this board. His headers are pieces of art, and the "gsr" header is more like 700, not $1000. Plus, he'll learn you're personal setup and needs, and build the perfect header for your setup.
jdm 4-1 is really nice i got dc i am so pissed at myself they suck so bad it didin't give me any change at all. they also sound like pieces of **** the jdm on the other hand sound mean as hell
i had lsvtec with full stock exhaust. 154.6 hp at the wheels.
put a jdm dc 2.5" collector, 2.5" cat, 2.5" custom exhaust 171.8 hp(3rd gear gsr tranny)
that header is a good header
after porting head and manifold, and skunk cams 195hp(3rd gear 99si tranny)

you guys are leaving out the Comptech 4-2-1---->makes lots of torque and good HP just what a B16 needs. But then again you said you don't plan on spending alot of money.
