i a lot of people have told me that manual shifting is a big no no. but some say it is. on the other hand the people that told me it was ok to manual shift, dont seem to know much about cars. what is the real deal?

 

i have friends who know people who killed their transmission by doing it...but i also have friends that have been doing it for like a year and still their car is doing good.

if you're downshifting, and you can rev-match, then it's okay i believe

 

Don't do it man, trust me, its not good, and do you know how shitty it looks to see someone acting like they have a manual, downright hillarious... If you want to manual shift, sell your car and get a manual..

 

or do a tranny swap

 

No it isn't. Honda gives you that option so you blow up your transmission and have to bring it to the dealer for costly repairs.
