What engine does the Insight have? I've been trying to think of something "different" to do. I could care less about aftermarket support, since I can have things fabbed, do stuff my self and deal. What I would like to do is swap the rsx-s engine (k20) in an insight? I doubt it can be done, but it would be something besides a civic/rsx/accord (too many, sorry)

Or I can do the usual. I've got a couple concept ideas for a demo shop vehicle. I kinda look at the insight as a newer version of the crx because of that rear window. How the hatch comes down the back a little bit. Only thing I don't like is how the rear wheels are covered like that. The rear quarter panels suck, but can be worked with.

I actaully, and I think alot of other people do as well, agree with you on the Insight being similar in appearance to the CRX.

How much money are you willing to spend on this endeavor? Are we just day-dreaming here?

I mean, Insights retail for $19K, then you're just gonna tear out a brand-new hybrid engine and throw it away? And this is all assuming you could even fit another engine in their, which you can't.

Where there's a will, there's a way. But c'mon man, are u serious?

Kinda like the idea dude. He could sell that engine to some one, so its not like hes throwing it away. It is a BRAND new engine, you could find some one, some where to buy it....However, I have no useful advice to give you. But I think it would be sweet if you did it. Youd get mad props.

That would be really cool if you could get that to work. The Insight (factory) only weighs like 1900 lbs. So you may be on to the next great thing here. It basically is a 2003 CRX with the enviro twist to it. Good luck
