I know we all hate ractive or whatever, but why? maybe its name is likened to rice but do the exhausts actually perform well? yes i did a search no one answered these questions...
p.s. Im specifically talking about the ractive headers, nothing more than that

ractive is a slightly more upscale implimentation of APC.
ractive is best know for its:
shift *****
washer LEDS
indiglo guage faces
Chrome looking guage clusterpods
pedal covers
etc etc
they make a BOV looking air filters that are made out of plastic
i think they make some fart cannons w/ 3" outlets while the inlets are 2.25"

i have a cold air intake and i dont have any complaints
as for the headers, i would try and dig up some actual performance claims on a STOCK car.. or atleast try to...

I also have an intake tube from reactive, works like an intake tube but nothing special,
one of my buddy got a reactive coil over, they work great but are stiff as hell,
I know another guy that got a reactive header, he have to port match the exaust port on that thing, the hole where smaller than original, there was plenty meat to get rid of there.
never get any complaint about their product, shure they arn't comparable to Tein, endless, spoon, ATS or any other brand like that but they are basic, low priced item
see ya

i have the reactive muffler, it sthe carbon fiber one. its not all that but, sounds ok. and its carbon 2.5 srtaight through and come with a sliencer. so its ok.
i would say if you dont want to spend a lot of money through out time, get a reactive header/muffler but if you think you are going to keep your car for a while and like what you drive. i would say pay a little more money and get a better product. you get what you pay for pretty much.

the ractive 2 piece header is ok its got big tubing but nothin special the only problem is that is uses a crapola paper(or composite) gasket between the upper and bottom pieces and SOMETIMES they blow out.Its not o-ringed like dc 2 piece.
If its a 1 piece then your ok...but I don't remeber if they make a 1 piece

I have a HP 4-2-1 Header and CAI. I guess you can say HP is like Ractive, OBX and stuff?
OBX/Ractive cat-back
HP Motorsports
APC anything
I like the Ractive (AEM V2 style) and Focuz (also like the AEM V2) intakes, they been out 1yr or so before the AEM V2 .

you mean the header? or the exhaust. paint won't stick to a header. as for the exhaust, do you mean a cat-back? or a muffler? if you just bought a ractive muffler,

I get Ractive stuff at cost so I buy it sometimes just to see if it is allright or not. The strut bars are actually pretty nice. Theye are really stiff and despite the horrid reputation ractive has, I have upper front and rear bars on my crx. ractive logos not installed of course. I just got 2 sets of rear lower bars one for each of my EFs. They are way more stiff than my one friends POS overpriced DC sports **** pile. I swear I can move that thing about 6in. it flexxes so bad. As far as the exhaust save your money and buy a cat-back. Trust me I sell ractive the ****.
yeah i just decided to go ahead with my original plan and make my own exhaust. header to muffler. It'll be nice and time consuming, and should work rather well.
i would say that a ractive muffler flows as good or almost as good as most any other straight thru design as long as the piping is mandrel bent...the thing that makes cheap mufflers suck is the sound...it will probably sound raspy/tinny...and will probably blow out after a few years...most better mufflers have like a stainless steel mesh around the muffler core to prevent blow out and they use better materials for sound absortion...headers are a different story...a good cheap header is hedman/chikara...and like everone else said most short ram intakes are the same..except cheap intakes you cheaper filters..
Im only talking about the header...they make high temp paint y'know. isn't scence wonderful?
I have a ractive 4-2-1 header right now. The only thing I did to it was to port the flange to match the size of my exhaust ports. Then I matched the flange to the pipes on the head side of it.
Works as well as any other header on my car. Cheap enough to not care if it gets beat up underneath.
