LO JACK solution to the theft? 695 installed? good deal?
i was quoted 695 installed from a honda dealership? has anyone seen it cheaper and is it worth it? i already had one si hb stolen and never recovered. could this be the solution to all these thieves? ?
raped chassis? dont they recover it real quick? i mean its supposivly will find where its at prolly while the mo fo's are startin to TRY and strip it then....... BUSTED? or am i wrong? especially if u call within the hour or so its taken
lojack just means they will know where it is.
but it doesnt prevent the people from stripping your car down to a shell in a few hours.

What if they steal you car and you don't notice for a couple hours? By the time you realize it, your car will look like a plant holder, and they'll be using the lojack as an ashtray

Lo jack is a good solution. I work at a dealership and it has saved a couple stolen hondas in the phoenix area. I have heard of a lot of theives getting caught because of Lo jack. The installers hide it a different spot everytime and there are 80 different places. Since i work at a dealership, i got a quote for a lot cheaper than 695.
only thing is lojack cannot trace a car if it is in steel structures or other types of buildings that the transmitter cannot go through.
besides most cars are stripped in about an hour or so, so if you are ina moive or mall or whatever you spent 700 bucks so the police didnt have to find the shell.

Yea LoJack hides it where NO ONE even the car owner knows where it is right? My mom recently bought a 2003 Accord EX and had one installed... I give it a
BUT one interesting thing I thought of when I was talking to the salesman:
How will you know if your LoJack is correctly working?
He told me to call Lojack every once in a while or something like that......
Does anyone have any feed back on the LoJack?

i saw this a while back, its a gps transmitter, you pay a monthly fee,use your computer and you can locate your car anytime you log on.just buy the one that tracks kids, the one that looks like a watch, hide it somewhere and track your car anytime.i dont think it even costs as much as lowjack. http://www.wherifywireless.com/products.htm,plus you can track from your own computer and tell the cops where its at and where its going, lojack is only good for a certain amount of miles.plus you still have to relie on the cops who really dont give a ****.
Lojack wont stop your car from being jacked - only help recover it. And no, it doesnt always happen right away. The way lojack works is a cop car EQUIPTED to track it, will beep in a varying tone... getting faster between beeps as they get closer to the car.

They even said that they are going to come up with a vehicle locater.. That demo looks sweet.
LO Jack now offers a new device that attaches to your key chain that will alert you anytime your vehicle moves more than 15ft from where it was parked without the keychain being in its vicinity it will alert you that the vehicle has been moved.

there was a guy on honda-acura.net that had lojack on his GSR,..he just got it stolen and used the lojack to recover it,..they got to the car before the thieves did serious damage to the car,...all that was taken out were the seats in his car,...lojack will not save your car from being jacked but atleast you will get it back
This is the thing, if you don't tell them to put it in a specific spot, car theives will always find it and throw them away. And like he guy said, it doesn't garauntee a your car not to get stolen. Another thing is, a lot of insurance companies will not give you a security discount at this moment for it becuase it is too new of a system.
lojack, new?lojacks been around for 10 years. there was a guy in high school who had it on his toyota pick up,that was 10 years ago to the year.
they install the LoJack in the off position..when u report ur car missing they ll turn the sucker on and depending on the jurisdiction they ll usually find ur car with 24hrs...in high theft areas..*central valley*..the cops move on if pretty fast cuz they want to catch t ****** and get ur car back as fast as u
not all PDs have the LoJack monitoring systems..im glad the city i live in has it
