I am trying to hook up an extra devices for the alarm ( extra siren) and it has to connect to a 12V hookup...
now can the factory alarm (98 GSR) are able to handle this extra devices...and if so, how do I hook itup on the brain or I can piggy back it to the brain with the same connection as the horn...

pls help me out..

I don't think that you can add any extra devices to your factory alarm and if you can I wouldn't. Whya don't you get another alarm fo ryour car instead. It will be less of a headache..

 

you should check the factory alarms owners manual.

 

steve, actually I am planning on adding a siren that is separates but only triggered by the horn when the alarm goes off....

soi technically not exactly adding an extra devices, but just tapping a wire where this extra sirens is, and run in on a separate power source....

I just need to know the wire that goes from the alram brain to the the horn......

 

If you can't get a schematic, a volt meter is very handy. Disconnect your horn and let your alarm go off then find the right wire. It may be strange, though, if your siren goes on and off the way the horn does. If you disconnect the horn, there is a possibility that it may be constant, cross your fingers. By the way, where and how much did you get your alarm for, did it come with the car?

 

the stock horn is 12volts so ya.
