problems with 205/50/15?
i have a 91 crx si with 205/50/15 nitto nt 450 on konig heliums. it is lowered 1.8 in the rear and 2.0 in the front with neuspeed springs (stock struts). i love the way my crx handles, but when i push it to the limit through a turn my rear tire(s) rub on the back fender(s). what can i do other then rolling my rear fenders. would it help to get new adjustable struts?
i think maybe part of the problem is that you're driving 205s on a car that came with 165s or 175s and rode 2" higher. drop down to 195s and you'll be fine.
they are tucking only until they start to rub on the fender. i know i really should have got 195's in the first place, but some one told me that 205's wouldn't be any problem. ok, so then other then getting all new tires, what could i do. would stiffer shocks solve the problem?
i am running (not 15's, but 13's
) and was lowered and had no probs w/my 205's rubbing...dont buy new tires...man im gonna go for 225's when i get some h&r spacers....!
heres what i got....

It does help to have stiffer springs and shocks, but rolling the fender is free. That's all you'll need to do. If you're not up to rolling the fender, find a place that has a fender rolling tool. They work great and you shouldn't crack your paint like a baseball bat will.

i think i may go with stiffer struts instead of rolling the fenders. has anyone used KYB adjustable struts with neuspeed springs? also, would it improve my turning with adjustable struts?
wut is rolling the fender?
BTW, I will be running the same size tires (falken Azenis) and will be using H&R sports and AGX's. Will I be rubbing a lot? Will an aftermarket rear LCA help? Thanks!
rolling the fender involves "bending" the lip that sticks in towards your tire (on the fender) inside, at least i believe thats what he is talking about.
yup.. just bend the lip back.. if u run your finger along the lip of the fender u can see and feel where your wheel is rubbing. Pull off the rubber liner and take a bat and roll the lip back.. or take a soft hammer, heat gun and tap it back.. put the rubber lip back on and its done.. simple
