90% of the serious drivers in my region (los angeles - STS) run on falkens, a handfull on the BFG KDs. For the money, can't beat the falkens.

About the only tire available that is better than the Azenis is the BFG KD. It is only fractionally better though and is MUCH more expensive. There is speculation about the Kuhmo MX tires that are just coming out, but other than mag tire testing on stock cars, I have not heard of anyone that has them yet. It sounded like they were just a tick off the Azenis and BFG KD's though in those tests. Time will tell on the availability and performance of the Kuhmo's.

People have done the tires testing, that is why at nationals STS looked like a spec Azenis class. There were only a handfull of cars not running them. As was said above, it is hard to beat them for the price.

Edit: All this I said is assuming you are looking for a true street tire.

His other post that someone rightfully knocked down was asking about drag tires. *shrug*

Tires we get that are better than Azenis, and also street legal (here):
Most of this is not street legal in the States.

Advan Neova (debatable)
RE-01
Toyo Trampio R888
Dunlop D01J
Potenza RE540S

You're about to be deluged with requests to buy tyres for people.
Ummm...Yes I would like to pick up a set of 205/50/15 Azenis

Anyway, I have the Falkens and they are pretty damn hard to beat for the price.

The very serious people like the KD's even my tire guy says there a more advanced design. However, for the cost, I can't afford, nor justify the extra cost compared to KD's.

Yep. And I think the moderator of this forum has once again exercised his "happy thread lock finger". I've seen several locked threads lately that did have merit IMO.

A fellow Street Mod competitor in my region utilizes drag radials very effectively since Falken does not make the Azenis in his size. Questions about their handling characteristics are *quite* appropriate on this forum. But what do I know. I'll probably get dinged a couple of percentage points for going against the man...
