96-00 Honda Civic Sideskirts

correct me if im wrong, but are the 96-98 sideskirts different from the 99-00 sideskirts?
they look the same to me, but i've read many times that the 99-00 have more of a "lip" stickin out on the rear part...fact or fiction?
