how's your gas level? it sounds like it's low and sediment may also be getting through the fuel filter.

I would check the connection to the Alt. Maybe it is lose or something. You don't have any fuel leaks do you? Maybe your getting air in the fuel lines?? I don't know. I would also check Distributor cap and wires just to make sure the problem isn't there.

I'm probably wrong but sounds like your fuel filter may be gummed up.

It does sound like the car is having trouble getting fuel into it's system...maybe you have a bad fuel pump? That may be a possibility...or I could be wrong

i agree, it sounds like your fuel pump.... not any of the other stuff... replace the battery, its always good to have new ones... and if the problem reoccures, then see if someone can test the pump for you.

yes it can...your injectors are clogged making your fuel supply limited...this will cause your car to stall, and it is also why you had to accelerate to keep it allive...more fuel had to be pushed in to the engine in order for it not to die...it's logical, just get them cleaned...

pick up some injector cleaner, its only like $3... do you run cheep gas? I found running a couple tanks or 94 octane really once and a while helps!

if you need thwe injectors cleaned that badly, pouring injector cleaner in isn't going to do a lot, you need to take it to a mechainc so they can use a bottle of injector cleaner PRESSURIZED through your system, that way they get good and clean, in order for you to only add a can to the tank, it would take many cans, and a lot of time to run it through the system and still wouldn't be as clean

test your battery with a multimeter, it should be around 12 volts.
