Pocket Porting and Polishing/Type R Style
I cam across this on the jg website.What are the differences between a full port and polish and pocket porting and polishing? What kind of gains over stock would I see on a b16 head?
it's really just the way it sounds, a pocket port is only the first half inch or so under the seat, where the valve sits, and full porting is just as it sounds like it is porting the entire head -intake/exhaust runners and the combustion chamber, I have never dynoed the difference between the two but I will say a full port will make alot more power than pocket port and will also cost you alot more.
