stock lsd or qualfe?
i am getting ready to build a b18c5 to swap into my civic over the summer, i am planning on a full jun3 head and sleeved and honed block to 2.0l w/ higher comp. pistons. i just have a few questions regarding the transmission.
will the stock itr lsd hold up ok, is it worth replacing? i have tein ra coilovers and can lift a wheel at about 20mph, im worried the lsd will break under power and take the tranny with it.
also, what is involved in swapping a gsr 5th gear in? what are all the parts i need to do this? and should they be brand new or can they be used?

thanks alot, looks like i saved some $ then... this car will not be for track duty, which is why i want the gsr 5th. im doing a 4.7 fd and i dont want to affect the top speed or be sitting in vtec at highway cruising speeds, i know the jdm tranny has the gsr 5th which works out nicely. any info on that.

I dunno how fast you cruise on the highway, but 80mph seems pretty fast already. THE VTECH dun hit till 5700 anyway and the drop from 4th to 5th would be pretty crappy....
so if i dropped in a jdm fd and left the usdm itr 5th gear i wouldnt be in vtec at 80mph? i was under the impression that the usdm itr approaches vtec at 80mph with the 4.4 fd but i dont know for sure. i will be running hondata too so my crossover could be lowered alittle as well.
