i saw an imformercial on TV advertising these small sand paper like sheets that u put in where ur brake pads go, and they guarantee "better than machined" rotors.
it seems too good to be true, but i think i need these.
if some of u remember, i had MAJOR brake problems. I got new rotors, pads, and bled them. I tested it out, and it was fine. However, i noticed that at highway speeds, my car shakes alot (feels like warped rotors) when braking.
I asked the shop that did my brakes, and they told me that it is probably my driveshafts (since they were broken, and making that clacking sound whenever i turn). I believed them, and finally saved up enough money to buy new driveshafts.
Hoping that the "shaking braking" would be gone now, i tried it out on the highway and i was very disappointed since the shaking was still there.
It is not the balancing of the tires because it doesnt shake when driving. I dont have any sort of suspension mods. I have NO IDEA what i could be.
any suggestions? TIA
(sorry this post turned out to be another "help me" thread)

wouldn't those only work on the wheel connected to the driveline?
im just trying to figure out what causes the shaking when braking at high speeds.
It's not just a minor vibration, it shakes so much that it dangers my driving.
so far i got new tires/balanced, new rotors, pads, and driveshafts. i really dont know what it could be that causes such harsh shaking.
im leaning towards thinking that the rotors are warped. but i dont understand why this would be, since they are brand new factory size rotors that were machined very nicely.

hahah wow, what i said really made no sense! sorry.
but at my dads house i have all my history records on my car. they had this problem too. i will look at what they did to correct it. i'll tell you later tonite.
edit: yeah, it only happened when they were braking above 70 mph or somen.

yes i did break them in. i did a few 50km/h stops while applying good pressure on the brake. i hope that was enough.

alignment? hmm... i'll look into that as well.
thanks guys
Did you get factory Honda rotors?? I have seen aftermarket rotors warped right out of the box. Get a shop to do a run-out test on the rotors to see if they are warped. If you got aftermarket ones I would suggest saving money and getting Honda. Makes a big difference.
