problem with ecu swap zc
my friend has a zc crx and was running an 88 si ecu and the car worked fine. so the other day he bought an 88-89 integra ecu and put it in and the car didnt start then he put the old si one he was using back in and the car still didnt start what could be the problem???
Chances are he has an 86-87 Teg ECU. They look the same, plug in the same, but will not run in an 88-91.
Does the ECU have a big "X" shape press in it? It goes across the whole ECU, it bubbles out. If his ECU has this it willl not work....wrong year.

check for spark..
pull a plug, and connect back to the spark plug wire and hold it on a metal surface of the car while cranking the engine over..if you see sparks you have spark..
then after thats done stick your nose down the open spark plug hole and smell for gasoline...and you should know if your getting fuel..
