new turbo install, I'm throwing cel code 1....then code 74. :(
Ok, I was troubleshooting my first turbo setup..and I finally figured out what was wrong. I had a t-shirt over the compressor inlet, and I wasn't getting enough air into the engine. While I was figuring this out, I was running off of the stock injectors, to eliminate the possibility of faulty fuel management.
So I removed the t-shirt and got everything working and as soon as I started to boost with the stock injectors, I threw a cel. I stopped and checked it and it was a cel 1. Which is an "Oxygen Sensor "A" (Primary) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor". Not sure how I got that code. But I just reset that code and then I reinstalled 450cc injectors, filetofits map limiter, and a resistor box.
I started her up and the engine was running really rough. It was shaking a lot. I rev'd to about 3,500 and then I threw a cel. I checked what cel it was and it was cel 74, which is "Cylinder 4 Misfire or a Random Misfire a condition is present that is creating a cylinder misfire". That's the only cel that I got. I reset the ecu again, and took it for a drive. And in about 2 minutes I threw the same cel, 74.
What could cause this? I only touched the fuel filter, fuel rail, injectors and the injector wires, before I got this code. Could this have anything to do with the cel 1 that I threw while still on stock injectors? If anyone has any idea what could be the problem, please lend some knowledge.
Thanks
Edit: My setup:
dropshop b18b mani to tdo5h-14b turbo
radiator hose charge pipes
1g dsm sidemount ic
1g bov
450cc dsm injectors
map limiter (filetofit)
resistor box
stock internal wastegate
I hope that helps some.

Could a bad o2 sensor be the problem for both cel's?
I also haven't regapped my plugs....could that be the problem as well?
or could an injector be bad?
Anyone have ideas?

Your running too rich.. pull out your sparkplug and clean them heck replace them if you can. And after running rich for some time, your 02 could be dead too (replace it).. but that should have trown a code **(edit) why yes it did**.. clean your sparkplug.. do you have a fpr?? if you do.. try to lower the pressure a bit.

You nailed it whooopasss, the plug was bad. I just got my colder plugs in, so I gapped them to .032 and put them in. No problems....runs great.
Thanks
