Default Yet another DPFI-MPFI Question..

Raene and I are doing an MPFI swap so I can use my B16A in my 88 DX. There is an extra plug on the harness and it plugs into something on the D15B2 that the B16A doesn't have! Anyone know what this is? It plugs in to some sort of cylinder right behind the DPFI throttle body!

I believe there is a plug that you dont end up using when you switch to mpfi. I'm not positive about this, but I remember hearing it from someone on this forum.

Also, if someone that has done the swap could have a quick look over the write up i've done for DPFI-MPFI and let me know if my info is correct, i'd really appriciate it. thanks <A HREF="http://www.angelfire.com/d20/hcivic88/dx-siwiring.html

When I swapped a B18A into my DX, there was an extra plug on the harness. I think it was a round one (like the IAT) with 2 or 3 wires. My friend who did the wiring just cut it off.

You will have these 3 plugs left over when you are done. Its not needed for the MPFI.

The other two plugs are for the fuel injectors on the DX.

It's for the tandem vavle for the DPFI system. You don't use that.
