Default compression 12.5 to ~12.0

I want to get about 12.1 compression forged pistons but this place told me the closest they have is 12.5 je piston he goes we can add two more head gaskets to lower it but isnt that too much i check on c-speed racing and that part that tells you ur compression depending on what pistons, head and block ur using shows when u change the layers of headgaskets by one it increases or decreases it by .3 wouldnt that change it too low from 12.5 because he said to put 5 layers

Any place talking about adding two or more headgaskets to achieve a desired compression ratio is not where I'd be buying/installing them.

Agreed. Atleast try a different shop. Forged pistons can be made to order.

Hey toda man (your avatar) Toda offers a thicker gasket instead of the "iffy" method of stacking gaskets. I think it lowers .3 points so that'll bring you down to something closer to what you want.

its import builders and je has only 12.5 so i wanna take it down to about 12.1-12.2 so i can run 91 octane he goes 4 or 5 layers can be done and that he has don it before or i can get the 11.8 and take off one or 2 layers

According to JE the dome volume for the "off the shelf" 12.5:1 c/r pistons are 6.7.

when i called JE directly about custom pistons they told me i had to order a few sets, i cant remember if it was 2 sets or 6 sets. wiseco makes 12:1 buy them. shy away from arias, the silicon content yields too much expansion. theres only 3 pistons id buy and thats wiseco, JE and OEM.

i think that wouldnt be such a great idea......the more h.g.'s you slap on the easier they will blow, they were not made to stack.I dont think that shop is very reputable, unless i am misunderstandeing.besides you can get custon pistons, from je to any comp.
