I'd like a YS1 LSD with a 4.929 final drive and an LS 5th gear.

Don't get the Y1, get an S1 or a J1 if you can these are readily available and have shorter gearing than the Y1.

The YS1 has even shorter gearing but is much harder to find, but if you do find one get it, cuz it has double synchros on 2nd gear and is fully rebuildable with USDM parts, and it will fit a type R LSD and it'll fit a hight final drive if you want.

There are a few B series gearing guides out there do a search and check them out.

transmissions.....

i have a j1.. trannies are all on what you want to do with them.. what motor you have and what's done to the motor.. shorter gearing would suck for turbo.... longer gearing sucks for autox and some road racing..
