Took my spare LS distributor last night and transferred the internals to my B16 distributor and after a few stripped screws, I managed to make it work. Motor runs a bit more responsive and at first thought I wasnt hitting Vtec because power is good all the way to 9000rpm, but it actually does. Anyway, drove the car to work this morning, no problems, then slight traffic getting on the Bay Bridge (15 min. delay). After passing through the toll booth, car suddenly started tp sputter beyond 3000 rpm...It runs fine under 3K. I havent checked the ecu for codes yet...but any ideas?
yeah make shure everything in the dizzy is hooked up and that a wire didnt fall of the little chip thing (forget what the thing is called). check your codes first though might be somthing different

Checked for code and its Code 4 (Crank Angle Sensor)...I had this code the first time I installed my distributor. Before the install, I noticed that the gears were a bit tight in turning, but installed it anyway to find out. After getting code 4, i took dizzy out again and removed one of the washers to loosen it a bit then reinstalled. Code disappeared and car ran fine til now...Another Code 4...Looks like I may have to take that dizzy apart again in order to get home today...

Thanks, i'll try that right now...One more Q, moving the dizzy to advance timing...move it towards the firewall or front bumper? Never really taken timing class 101, hehe.
