This sounds ubsurd, and i think it's BS. A friend of mine whom i want to run in my celica claims his b16 in his Si is pumping out 240HP. Here are his claimed mods:

skunk2 stage 2 cams
knife edged crank
port and polish
3-way valve job
titanium valve springs
compression 12:1 (extended rods?)
Greddy Evo Catback
CAI
DC 4-1 header
VAFC
Dyno Tuned

Now.... i think i know about cars but 240HP out of a b16 wit hthat setup... i think this is BS. SOmeone is lying here.

Ok.. Edit: he now claims the 240HP was produced with the addition of a 60 shot. This sounds possible. What should the car be putting down off the bottle ?

hes not running extended rods with out a custom piston or a deckplate. i doubt he has that.

he probably has 170@ the wheels. own that **** talker

 

under 200, maybe 170-180 thats a rough guess though

HAHAH yah that thread was great.. yah so he's not putting more than 200HP to the wheels w/o the nitrous? im not familair with that setup so im not sure.. I'd liek to own him so he doesnt talk ****.. lol
i've run at the track and run pretty consistent so i consider myself a pretty good driver.

We have a B16 with 10.6:1 compression with 232 whp 166 tq on a 81mm bore, stock rods and crank, fully built head with Skunk2 stage 1 cams with a 60 shot . I think 240 is possible....

 

That setup could put down 200 WHP if done properly... with that header and exhaust, no way. 180-190.

 

I enjoy coming to this board because it's usually pretty non rice. I like car's in general but i lean towards toyota. I ca nspreciate Honda's though. Yah he claims 240 to the wheels on the at setup and a 60 shot. I think thats possible. I was just wondering what type of power to the wheels he should be getting w/o the 60 shot. He did claim liek 198.

 

Yea, basically its extremely hard to get 200whp out of a b16 and near if not impossible to hit 200whp without stroke/boring. As far as the toyota comment, I roam around clubsi, honda-tech,g2ic, and newcelica.org The celica is interesting to me, and there are a few people there that are very knowledgeble about the celica and cars in general. But lately its just been the same thing over and over there and not enough aftermarket support so that site has been going kind of downhill imo, at least until mods or new innovations come out. I find that honda-tech is one of the best honda sites imo because they have alot of useful info without too much ricer's spouting off bad info.

 

I seriously doubt he's getting 200whp out of a b16a w/ those mods off the gas.

That dyno sheet was on a stock block. This apparently is not a stock block, so it seems possible.

 

a stroker b16a made 230whp.... so maybe with a crazier setup it'll make the 240whp, but who knows

on a bottle it can....i would say hes lying with that and 60shot...maybe with the gas lik 220-230

 

240hp is very possible with a allmotor b16a. If Bisi is making more power then that with a single cam then.................. And dude man is probably making 240hp with the addition of the nitrous of course. But their is no way he is making that kind of power allmotor with only those mods. The block doesn't even have any work done to it, well considering 12.1 compression pistons and longer rods, thats not going to get the job done to get in the 240hp range.

 

Uh with 60 shot....Hes probally making 230...Why dont you race him and then see if hes lying
