I guess since i have a code 23 (knock sensor), Vtec won't engange? Made a search but no results...Anyway, I'm getting it fixed tomorrow (maybe just run a ground), but I just want to make sure why my vtec wont kick in...
Vtec pressure + Speedometer (VSS) + Knock sensor + 2nd O2 = VTEC ??
Vtec pressure + Speedometer (VSS) + Knock sensor + 2nd O2 = VTEC ??
Vtec pressure + Speedometer (VSS) + Knock sensor + 2nd O2 = VTEC ??
knock doesnt matter, 2nd o2 dont matter- for vtec
Agreed. I've had the code 23 for many months and was running without the 2nd O2 and VTEC still engaged properly.
Please back to this thread about how the install goes (knock sensor) because I recently bought one (from irev210!!), but cannot figure out how to replace it. I've tried from under and above, but I can barely get my hand in there, let alone a wrench. I know where it is, but I can't see what I'm doing...can only feel. I'd like to be able to do it without taking the intake manifold off. Let me know how it goes. Thanks.

Correction, Vtec does engange...I guess my car really runs strong with the new distributor that I hardly notice Vtec, hehe...I'll take care of the knock sensor code tonight and I'll post the results and "how to"...

It's a real pain trying to reach the knock sensor from the bottom so i decided to just have it disabled (Hondata)...FYI, you can actually just connect the wires and run another wire around the sensor and tap it to any bolt on the block to run a ground...it works.
