b16 throttle body problem help pleeeez
My throttle body door seems to be a little sticky becuase when i am driving normal and let my foot off the gas, it seems to keep reving by itself(ie. stays at 3k when i take off my foot). But when i hit the gas again, it goes back down to idle. I took out my intake and cleaned the door with parts wash and cleaned the rotor. But it doesnt seem to help. Any suggestions? DOes it need grease? HELP PLEASE!! thanks
i am pretty sure it has something to do with the throttle door itself...it is stiff to shut.. the cable seems fine...any other suggetsions? coul;d it be electrical?
Possibly a sticky or kinked throttle cable
i can see where the problem is...the rotor is a little hard to bring back. Once the throttle cable pulls the door, the door likes to stay there and not come back. But when i go under the hood and push the rotor back with my hand, it goes back to idle. It seems to be something sticky...COuld it be an old spring, with not enough force to bring it back? Or is the door binding in the throttle body? thanks for everyone;s help!
