Just compression tested my jdm b18c, i think my numbers are high.
Cold motor, very cold outside, pulled fuse, cranked 5 times: 250/240/240/240! The stock compression is 10.6:1, the same as a usdm type r. I did it twice and got the same #'s both times. Are these too high? Ill be boosted March 2 and tuned March 5th.
those seem kinda high, but i also got 230s on my test. it might just depend on the guage. i wont worry about it.
I read somewhere that a cold engine will pull higher compression numbers...so if your car was warmed up...expect lower compression numbers
I figured the cold motor (and motor oil) would play a part. I just wanted to make sure the #'s were feesable and didnt scream "hey you made a maistake". Thanks guys.
