gsr cams in a b16 please help
i just got a set of gsr cams off a friend of mine for 30 bucks. i am going to be putting them in my car this weekend and i was just wondering how much of a gain i should expect. my guess is 5-7hp but this is just a guess can someone help me out on this?
well you will notice a quit a difference if you have automatic cams.....but if not then prolly a slight difference in the highend only your prolly correct on your guess.. if you have munual cams already
I woulnd expect to be calling out numbers with this upgrade, but you will feel a difference between 5500-8500 rpm.
Dont bother with the exhaust cams, they are pretty much identical.
THere will be a different sound comming from your intake.

why do you need our permission for you to do whatever to your car? if i told you pissing on your car would help it go faster, would you do it? seriously, trial and error. thats how you learn, not from reading **** on the internet, stupidstreet, etc.
just thought i would ask for opinions, not permission on what you thought. maybe someone on here has done this before. and yes if pissing in my gas tank added hp i would do it. why you may ask, well cause it would be free hp cause everyone has to ****.
BTW, you would probably lose power doing this
B16a intake duration 240
B16b intake duration 243
B18c intake duration 230
as stated all non R spec exhaust cams are the same.

These are the specs I have always seen on these different cams. They made a big difference in my low boost b16.

Exh-267 dur. / 9.6mm lift
Integra GS-R
Int-274 dur. / 10.7mm lift
Exh-276 dur. / 9.6mm lift

The GSR intake cam is bigger in lift and duration than a 1st and 2nd gen B16a cam. The b16a2 cams are a little bigger than 1st and 2nd gen B16a cams, but the GSR's are still slightly larger. Before and after dyno, you will pick up some more power, but it may not be as much as you think.
The GSR cams are perfect for boosting since they have less overlap, I would not expect to see any or much gains by dropping them in. Just a waste of time and effort unless your boosting or plan too.
thanks guys dont think im gonna do this one but if anyone wants to throw a set of type r cams my way ill be glad to take them. sorry im broke or i would pay for them but if anyone is feeling generous just throw them on over here.
