whats faster in the 1/4 mile the 4th gen prelude vtec or the 5th gen prelude sh???

4th gen because its lighter but doesn't own the 5th gen by much, the problem with the Sh is cause its roughly close to 3000lbs since it has the extra 80lbs from the Atts system. A better comparision would be the Base 5speed against a 4thgen Si

 

The 4th gen vtecs beat all the 5th gens by about half a second in the 1/4 but its not that much lighter... the 4th gen vtec (h22a1) just dyno's higher.. just produces more power..

 

gearing on 4th gen trannies help a lil bit.

They are pretty close, but the 97+ Preludes typically put down a little bit more HP at the wheels stock VS stock. But it's not enough to overcome the overall gearing advantage and slight weight advantage that the 4th gen VTECs have

i thought 4th gens dyno higher..
we have bigger injectors and OBDI

there is not that much difference in weight, and there is not much difference in gearing..

 

Our 4th gens have just been blessed by God.
