Default 02 ITR clunking sound

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone might give me some ideas about this discomforting problem..
I got an 02 type R( it's just out of it's 1 year warranty) and I am getting some wierd sounds when I change gear : After I shift up, release the clutch and apply the power, I hear (and feel) a heavy 'clunk' coming from the gearbox/drivetrain. As I ease off the power, I hear the sound again. It seems to happen in every gear. This makes me think that there is some kind of torque - related problem with the 'box/diff, but then I admit to myself that I don't know what the hell i'm talking about... Has anyone heard of these symptoms before? What does it all mean?

I'm not sure what that problem is, but I thought the Australian DC5R's came with 3 year warranty?

maybe it's the motor moving up and down...i have a DC5 Type S and i know for sure the motor mounts are really weak...when you shift up and down shift (heel toe) you can feel the motor move an incredible amount...

the motor moves so much that when i redline first gear and shift into second, the top of the stock air box smashes (huge clunk sound) against my Mugen front strut tower brace...i have to feather into second gear in order to avoid it from happening...late

Sounds like it could possibly be a broken motor/tranny mount(s). Hard to really say for sure without actually experiencing it though.

check your mounts anyway...because like someone else said they are really week, ive takin mine in 2 times for mounts. other then that all i can really say is your tranny? do you race alot? slam gears? my tranny went out on monday...and ive noticed that it only acts gay when its A. cold outside or B.engine cold and you just take off. that just my opinion tho..

Yea, thats what I kind of thought about, because my friend had the same problem with his car, even though its not a DC5, but one, if im not mistaking, of his engine mounts were kinda loose, or weak, and everytime he shifted, the whole gearbox would move with the shifter, and would make a clunk noise, but then again it could possibly be something different!

sounds to me like "chatter"...
usually a result of an aggressive aftermarket clutch...
r u still on the stock clutch?
