Grrr, MPFI not going well at all
I think i must not have the wires in the right place on the ECU plug. I also think the code 14 is just because of the code 4. The wires run from the distributor directly to the ECU,

They are hooked up at the bright red pin spaces.
I tested the wires for continuity and they are not broken., but I can not tell if they contact the pins in the ecu.
what am I doing wrong.
I think the code 14 is just because of the irratic idle caused by the code 4 since it take 30-40 seconds for it to appear.

These are for the cylinder position sensor right? pins C1,C2? You have to move C1 to B10 and C2 to B12 first then connect the cylinder position senor to C1/C2 blue green=C1 and Blue yellow=C2

Yes
I forgot, 14=EACV, 4=cylinder position sensor.
I have tried everything I can think of and can not figure out what is wrong
Can someone confirm the wire colors that I was supposed to hook this up to on the distributor.

Don't get discouraged. You may be reading into it to much. Its only 4 wires that run into the engine compartment. Remember A3 and A7 are for the fuel injectors. Remember you have to cut C1 and C2 at the ECU plug. Take the wires from the engine side of the harness (where you just cut, do one at a time so there is no coufusion) and connect them to B10 and B12 (ECU harness) as previously stated. Next you will have the two wires coming off the C1 and C2 ECU plug. These are the other 2 wires that go to the engine compartment. They go to the Crank position senror. I believe they are blue/yellow and blue/green on the wire harness. I hope this explained it a litte better for you and I did not end up confusing you any more than you may be. Good Luck!

Thanks for the try, but the problem is the wires run in from the correct places to the correct places and are not shorted or broken and it STILL does not work.

This may help you identify the pins on the ECU harness.

Something has to be hooked up wrong.
I had a weird problem after my swap, and it ended up being that I was grounding one of the injector wires with the ecu cover.
If push comes to shove, just start all over. You might of forgot something, that can be corrected from you taking your time.
Just a thought.

There is a decently straight forward wiring write-up in the above link. See if that helps any.

alright, I just made my own little tutorial for DPFI-MPFI wiring. can somebody that's done the swap have a quick look at it to make sure the info I have given is correct?
thanks a lot
