just replaced brake pads
i just replaced my pads on my teg. i took it for a drive and got on them pretty hard. i came home and parked it. i noticed there was a little bit of smoke coming up from my wheels. is this normal? did i do something wrong??
did you properly bed-in the pads before you got on them hard?

you mean bleed? yea i figured it out. it was the grease from my hands on the rotors. it burt it off.

i don't kno about pads, but rotors come coated with some material so not to rust while in storage n such and i'm sure something similar is also on the pads. So when you first get them, they do that. But you'll notice there really isn't a burnin smell nor is the smoke dark.. its a really light color almost hard to see.
But i think by bedding the pads teh guy means something else... i know ur supposed to go easy on teh brakes for the first couple hundred miles to let ur brakes break in.
