yea i think that is right... in japan i hear they had or have the lower model tegs with a sohc motor. and you can tell in that pick how its a right hand drive... see the battery on the right and the master cylinder on the left? plus you can see next to the hood latch the blue jdm honda serial # plate

i thought it might be european(sp) with the 4 light and all.

 

the first year or two of the g3 was available in japan with the four circle lights of the usdm

look at throttle cable and vin plate
also i think the SOHC engines were made even in the revised front end
